After a month of research and looking at Autotrader, which I went from a Yaris to a Z4 (seriously!) to Golf to MINI Cooper S to Focus to Fiat 500 to Fiesta and then back to this.

08 Plate Toyota Yaris, 1.8L VVT-I with 17" Alloys, 20k miles, FSH.

Loads of toys too - keyless entry and keyless start (my keys don't even have to leave my pocket), climate control, traction control, ABS etc etc

Drove it back from Cardiff, it can happily cruiser at 70mph on the motorway at 3,000rpm. It corners really well, it's quite quick off the block. Love Climate Control and the little touches like where you can choose the air circulate and buttons on the steering to control the Cd/radio.

Happy days!

p.s. yes I named it Veronica :p

Gratz!
I remember my first car, an Austin Maxi 1750 HLS with the dreaded Hydra gas suspension, a dodgy thermostat and windows that wouldn't wins down. I had to drive in my shorts in the summer because, to keep the car from boiling over, I had to run the heater on max temp and max blower!

Good choice - make sure you keep it shiny!

I remember seeing those when they'd had their suspension "recharged"....they looked like they driving along on stilts. You didn't have the nice Leyland poo brown colour too by any chance? :D

My first car was a late 60s Triumph Herald convertible....died a horrible death when all the cogs fell out of the rear differential and the head gasket blew :'(

Mine was a Ford Corsair, 2 litre V4 engine, crashed it within 2 months of passing my test, i had drove it for 3 years before that though :-)

Congrats on the new car

my first car was an Austin A40 Farina, Mark I, 1960, A Plate, got it 1980 I completely restored it, loved it

It was a bronze colour with poo brown interior!

The suspension used to go "boing" a lot!

Ouch lol

A hatch back before hatch backs were invented,my uncle had one and I loved it

Stupidly I sold it on a whim, a guy kept hassling me for it, for silly money to cheap, for the work parts and hours I spent doing it, pretty much gave it him, as we had bought a Triumph Toledo 2 door (1972 plate) to restore, we should have kept it really, about 15yrs ago I saw it for sale I was and should have bought the A40 back, it was a good feeling to see it was still on the road.

We completely restored the Toledo, and put a 1500 sprint engine with twin Webber's in, fast as out, real nippy, great for sliding, turned on a tanner, fab handling on or off road

Mine was a Fiesta - that didn't have enough 'numbers' so when it hit 100k it reset to zero!
