Got one a couple of weeks ago and yes it has an odd flaw but I can't imagine how I worked without one.

having only had mine for 24 hrs i completly agree with you here, i plugged it into my macbook and it automatically synced itself with my contacts, calender and everything i didnt even have to click anything, only one flaw so far that i have found and that is the flippin battery life, but i have had a read about on the net and hopefully found and done a couple of solutions to help this out, but i cannot believe i waited so long to get one so much worth the wait though now how about that 24inch imac i've bin putting off?:P haha

Another new member of the clan here as well.
I'm seriously impressed with the MobileMe integration. Edit a contact or appointment on my MacBook or via the web and, #HEY PRESTO!#, it's updated on the phone. And vice-versa.
No more having to sync it religiously every night to make sure my calendar is up to date.
That's worth the cost on it's own.
Now if only they did one with the same capacity as the iPod Classic....

A word of warning should you ever decide to no longer use MobileMe (and also for those who are using the free trial and decide not to continute). Be sure to detach the account from your iPhone before it expires/you cancel. If you don't, it will wipe anything on your phone that was entered using the MobileMe interface when your account is deactivated.

Could save yourself a headache or four!

There are musings that the 3rd gen iPhone's will be up to a 32Gb capacity (some are mentioning 64Gb as well) so there may well be a larger storage option there later this year for those who want it.

I managed to sync my contacts/email/calendar with my iphone, home pc and uni network all wirelessly and fully automatic using outlook exchange and without MobileMe... therefore free! :D The college network to iPhone sync was easy but to get it to all sync with outlook on my home pc required a little help from the IT department at uni. :)

Hmm, I've never heard MS Exchange referred to as "free" before. Heard it called all manor of other things though.... :D
