I have a Lightroom problem I need help with.

I have been using Lightroom 6 for nearly a year now (this is the CD version, not the subscription version). A long time ago, I downloaded the Nik software and this has worked very well on both Lightroom 6 and Photoshop Elements. I have not used the Nik software for some time until yesterday. All trace of it has disappeared from Lightroom although it is still there and still working well with Elements.

I have tried using Plugin manager to get Nik working again. Plugin Manager finds the Nik software but it is greyed out and I cannot select it.
I have tried downloading the Nik package again. this tells me it has installed the Nik software on Lightroom but there is no difference - it is still not there.
I am using an iMac and macOS Sierra 10.12.6

I am assuming I have managed to click somewhere I should not have clicked but for the life of me I cannot workout where.

Help!

Off the top of my head, have a look under the 'Photo' tab, then 'Edit In'.

Are the NIk plugins showing in your downloads folder?

If they are then you can load them into LR via the "External Editor" tab in "Preferences" as individual plugins. You end up accessing them in the same way.

Thank you! This is now working fine. I had ticked “Store Presets with Catalog” at some point and un-clicking it has restored Nik to full working condition.

I knew it was something simple - just a matter of which something simple. Still not sure why it makes a difference but then, who cares.
