I hate decorating

Me too, and I have a load to do which I really can't put off much longer! :(

I love painting, hence the reason every room in my house has already been decorated twice - and I've only lived here just under three years. Don't like doing ceilings though - it hurts my neck!

I still hate decorating and I've only just pasted the first piece

I love you, would you like to come to my house for tea?

what you like at hanging curtains :naughty:

For painting I found the best investment I've made is a roller that has a big syringe for a handle. Suck paint in to the handle and the it comes out through the roller when you push the end. Fantastic for large walls, ceilings etc.

Personally try to aviod wall paper as much as possible, to much agro.

Our old house was all wallpaper etc, came here and it is just painted plaster board (I think) and to be honest it is a hell of a lot easier. Get one of them thingies SimonTALM has and you can do a room in an hour :D

While you're wingeing you coulda got another roll done! :baby:

I'm 100% with you there Marcel. I too hate decorating.

Wallpapering vs. Outdoor photography

mmm. tough one!

Okay, I'll get my bag ready I'm off out tomorrow!!
:exit:

Decorating is okay if you are painting a white wall white again from where it has got dirty but as for putting up wallpaper not much contest really

I've only ever wallpapered once..... never again!!! I ended up wrapped up in the paper and more bubbles in it than goodness knows what. All of my rooms are just painted now. Painting is therapeutic

DF - curtains are easy :p

Second piece should be supple enough to put up now :(

i do it for a living then have to come home and do that as well!:shake:

Oooh Bradford isnt far, you could be here in about half an hour if you're quick.

Tea 2 sugars was it?

Cos I always set off half an hour late.

3rd piece is pasted. Waiting for it to soak now.

If I'm being forced to decorate tonight, you're all in it with me.

Nope, I nailed it up for extra measure.

3 pieces up, Im on a roll now (literally.....paste....everywhere)

Will put the next piece up, it's just about soaked....then take a pic for you all to laugh at

I hope you "sized" the walls Marcel / steps back a pace & waits for 10'x10' joke :D

match 4 strips on paste table off roll, then paste 4 at once, a lot easier.

Behold! Some dodgy verticals.

I would, but it's matching / patterned, so I'm using two rolls, roll 1, then roll 2, then roll 1, then roll 2 etc etc. And I'm just about to hit the stairs, so wont be able to measure up what's what in a minute :p

That a strange dabble effect you are creating on the blue but if you like it----:D

Oh dear lord, that blue was EVERYWHERE when we moved in :( I need to get rid of it! lol

The blue isnt going to show through the paper is it?

Nah, we're supposed to be painting the paper anyway when we're done (glutton for punishment!)

I've got 4 pieces up, and I'm goin to bed :P Continuing tomorrow, need to know how to get round that dodgy cornered wall at the bottom of the banister there, if i go round now, then the paper will overlap about 2cm, which is a little too little methinks...ach Ill think about it tomorrow :D

Somehow i don't think it will get done tomorrow :D
