Divine intervention? Maybe, who knows....but then it is one divine piece of glass as a photographer might say. Yes, I got my 24-70 by sheer good luck today and a big shout to CT for buying my 50mm 1.2L which seemed to start the wheels in motion. I was worried as the 1st march retail is £1500.00 and these are gold dust with an alleged 8 week lead time from Nikon who are clearly hoarding stock. I also have my holiday in the lakes and a few days in Devon/Cornwall with Snapper73 (TP Member). Thankfully, now all covered.
I have some wedding work lined up from May 2009 and this lens installs upmost confidence in me for group/pack shots at all f stop. It is of course ideal for mountain bike work of which I hope to start shooting once the weather changes. This is without doubt, of every lens I have used, (been a few
) in every camp, this is without doubt the sharpest piece of kit I have ever, ever owned. Biting and you need to soften the cameras in camera sharpness I think, but the option is there if needed. Last year I produced and distributed some A3 calendars and the pictures were so sharp that they went to print without any sharpening routines put in place.
