Nice one Naz, let's see plenty pictures.

Ooh I can't wait to start snapping!! Comes in at the right time too! We are going to a caravan park on Monday and that would be perfect setting! Iv never been so excited before lol!!

That first charge seems to take forever, doesn't it?

Just got one myself and am made up with it :-)

It says upto 4 hrs!!! It's been charging for 1.5 hours now! At this rate it will be bedtime and I'll have to wait till tomorrow :(

Wilo congrats! I still need to learn about apertures etc!

Iv just checked the battery and it now says full?? Should I wait a bit more tho? It's been hour and a half :?

I just waited until the light went green in the charger.

Thanks Wilo! Iv just had a bit if play with it. Tbh tho I need to sit down and go thrift the 1st lesson. I have no clue what all the different settings do!

The best way is to just go out and start taking photos. Try different shutter speeds to see how the camera shake affects the quality of the photos with the lens you are using. Then try photos at different ISO settings and ale a close look on a computer to see how it affects the picture quality. A lot of photography is using the best compromise you can in a given situation.

If you want a book to provide you with fairly straight forward explanations on how to get going you could try 'Canon EOS RebelT3i/600D - From Snapshots to Great Shots' by Jeff Revel (ISBN-13 978-0-321-77664-8).

Thank you gblades for the advice! Wether permitting I'll go out and try it. I had a look in the user manual yesterday but it's all gibrish to me!
