I find the word "This" incredibly annoying.

Nothing bothers me more than the word Bokeh! But I don't know why! :D

Perhaps I look at different bits of the forums (fora?) then you Jo, but I haven't come across any posts with just yes or this.

When did this response begin. Where someone writes something, then when another poster agrees they just write:

This.

Man I find it so irritating and I have no justification for why. Why can't they write:

"Yes" or "I agree"

When did writing "This" become the norm? This doesn't make sense.

p.s. by the way I realise that when somebody replies here with an explanation somebody is going to be really amusing and write "This" after it, or they may even be more original and write "That" or perhaps be really witty and write "The other". I'm ready for it.

Absolutely, I couldn't agree more. I'd like to assure you that I am strictly in the affirmative with you on this one. I predicate your statement and applaud your stand. The opportunity to approve your sentiments are most welcome and I am assentient to all that you say. To ensure that there is no doubt of my favourable position regarding your declaration I designate my full approbation to it in the most plausive and positive manner possible and guarantee my full support.

What was wrong with 'ditto'.........or is it 'dito' ?

Gosh, I didn't think of that, I thought there must be a simpler way of agreeing with him! :D

And, as you would expect on this forum, more that signify disagreement:-

 :bat:  :nono:  :bang: :shake: :cuckoo::rules::puke::annoyed::gag:
