After months and months of trying to save up for the sigma 105mm (which is hard seen as I am between decent work, only 4 hour contract atm) I gave in to the excitement and went for the cheaper Tamron 90mm instead. Can't wait for it to arrive!!

Anyone else bought something recently that they can't wait for it to arrive?

yep, but not photography related

I bought a cheapie touchscreen phone the other day and I need a microSD card, so ordered one off ebay and it should be here soon, I hoped maybe yesterday but still hasn't arrived today. Sad I know, but I want my tunes! LOL

The only problem of buying off the internet. That waiting feel. :D

I'm waiting for a Raynox DCR-250 lens, a new 8GB SDHC Extrema III card and a 55mm f1.8 Super takumar Manual focus lens.

It's snowing

There's more snow to come

My road has never been gritted in the 7 years i have been here!

I have little patience

I think i have a long wait!! :(

:D

I bought the Nikon 105mm macro before xmas where it has sat in its box as I have had man flu.

Hopefully over the weekend I shall play

I have the Tamron 90 mm macro lens. I can assure you that you won't be dissapointed with it. One thing you will find however is that the depth of field when using it for macro (table top) type of work is very exact and definately needs a tripod. My copy is also excellent for "general" average mm range work as well, so yours should be as well.

Out of interest, a few months ago in a camera magazine it came second in the tests (Nikon 105mm macro took first place) beating all other makes including Canon and Sigma, 7 macro lenses tested if my memory serves me right

Hope you enjoy your purchase

The Tamron 90 was my first choice, but managed to get a bit off the price of the nikon.

I have been looking at some of the pics on the macro forum, there is some good tips and some good pics.

Good luck

I ordered my Lowepro Fastpack 350 last night from Amazon. Looks like it'll be here on Friday (I hope). I can't wait to get it since my Crumpler won't quite take my camera and 70-200 attached.
