My colleague called me up just now to say she's going to work at home as the Autobahn is closed. And alternative routes are gridlocked due to a lorry carrying liquid aluminium had crashed. and all the molten metal had spilled out. Now I've heard cast iron excuses before, but this is ridiculous!

I was in a taxi once following a truck that was spraying water on its chassis. The taxi driver told me they truck liquid steel between sites in these water cooled trucks. I wouldn't want to be in an accident with one. Give way to those fellas!

Looks like the people living there will have to steel themselves for further delays.

How on Earth did the lorry end up on the hard shoulder like that? It must have been going at a fair ol' lick but hope the driver is okay.

Not necessarily. I'm sure the authorities can cobalt something together, iron out any problems.... as long as they don't 'nickel and dime' it.... (that's enough now)

At least he mounted the tractor unit on the central reservation to save the tyres from melting.
