Liverpool is a good call (and not just because it's my home town!). There's a great mix of old and new architecture within walking distance along with good transport links and excellent bars ;0)
 
That's a very good suggestion Steve.

I'd also like to visit Crosby beach.I keep meaning to go but haven't got round to it yet.

Let's see what other suggestions come up.

Can we set a provisional date of first or second weekend in September?
 
I've only ever shot digital in Crosby but have seen some excellent long exposures on Acros from there recently.
 
Crosby looks quite good. There's still the idea of Lytham St Anne's floating around too.
 
ah hell..........and I just swapped my northern type status for sw country bumkin for a bit..

Would it be too far / expensive for a train ride?
 
Got a lot on over the next 6 weeks or so but if I'm free I'll be there.:)

We did but our snow shoes wouldn't work properly so we came back oop north

Just want to bump this as I'm off on my jollies in a couple of weeks time. Lancaster is winning by 1 vote, do we need to fix a date? Dark and dismal northern autumn anyone?
 
Liverpool is great but if York was on the poll it would be a landslide ! - BTW Liverpool did get my vote !
