Yes
Well, my aerial picture came second in the local fete. The theme was local life so I took a picture of the whole village while up in my microlight. I lost to a picture of a snail. But it was taken by an 11 year old and the colours were good and it was sharp, but I lost to a snail!

Here's the aerial piccie:

I got a box of film and a camera as a prize for the special mention:

albeit it was a disposable camera :D

:lol::lol:

Don't get me wrong, I'm still chuffed at coming second :D

Means I have a challenge for next year :)

i am sure if you had shown the judges your thread here about your dan dare aerial you would have won just out of sympathy. :)

How did they know the snail lived locally then?

Tom, one of the judges waved to me as I went over in the microlight, she knew I was going up :lol:

Ian, not a clue  I asked the same thing ;)

Ask him to show you the snail and get some garlic butter!

Is there any pictures of this snail :)

 No pictures of the snail, sorry

Hmmm, snail and garlic butter :D yummy

so will the 11 year old becareful you never know what he might take pics of :lol:

Yes, but hopefully more U18's will enter next year and we'll have our adult category back to adults again

sounds like a fix then - obviously a case jealousy :D

 ask for a re-count or send the snail to france.

But it was a very good macro picture of a snail :D

congrats on the Second Kel
But to lose to a Gastropod?..........no way!

You could have always "shelled" out a little to bribe the judges
or even "slugged" the kid

Alls fair in love and 'tog competitions
And remember its not the taking part its the winning that counts

:D

Well Kelly you'd better start attracting snails in to your garden!

Groan at Chris's jokes!!! :p

KoG - not a chance matey, they've killed one of our chilli plants and had a right go at our peas, tomatoes and lettuces :(
