Hi i have taken this photo and i really like the concept of it. it is with my crappy camera but just want to know what can be done with it to make it look a lot better.

i have amended a few things but cannot get to the background to change it.

any help would be greatfully appreciated.

I'd be tempted to say it's easy enough to reshoot, apple juice or cider will do for the bubbly. what did you wan't done with the BG?
 
+1 re-shoot.

I had a little dabble.... I cut it out in remask, played with some BG changes..

Bottom line, as the BG goes right through the glass... kind of stuffed..

Try moving the background further away this will lose the creases hopefully. I'd also look at the way it's lit. Doesn't do much for the image. may look a lot better if you use a really dark background to make the bottle and glass stand out. If you have some velvet or similar that will give you a really dark one without having to worry too much about light spilling onto it
 
It will clean up to a certain extent, but as Chris says you tend to loose the glass (my quick dabble) so it then looses the point.
