On saturday I found a good lens at a good price from Amazon so I ordered it sunday and waited for confirmation...........and waited, today I got the confirmation and saw exactly what I didnt want to see......PARCELFARCE will be delivering this item, here is your tracking number.

So I decided to give the tracking number a whirl.......no such number, just as I thought but whats more worrying...........if this package hasnt turned up within 4 months this number will be void.


I look forward to seeing my lens NEXT YEAR:thumbsdown:
 
Peter have you shopped around ? i find amazon their price range about middle of the market, i'm not sure i'd want to buy camera equipment off them new, and especially used.

Its a NEW lens and I shopped around but it was out of stock everywhere so not much choice

I have only used them once to send some golf clubs up to Scotland, they took 17 days and left them on the patio of the buyer for 3 days and got his signature...........not bad for a 48hr service and the buyer had gone on holiday 7 days before the sig was written on a golfing holiday, doesnt exactly fill me with enthusiasm for them mate, but I will see if it arrives tomorrow and let you know:thumbs:
 
Strange, never had any issue with Parcelforce. They are always the first couriers to deliver where I live. My probs come with UPS.

That is so wierd we find UPS a brilliant service, we sent an old very heavy analgue synth to Norway for £20 and it got there in 28hrs and that was normal delivery, er must be lucky round here as the worst seem to be citylink who have a warehouse/hub here
 
If you paid on your card,contact Amazon within 5 days and they will sort your problem or get your money back
 
I wont slag them off just yet, I will wait and see if it turns up in a decent time frame, but if its like the golf clubs.........help
 
I may have to eat my words H as it is in the hub as we speak, hopefully the Rotherham hub so delivery tomprrow could be on here and if so you will have to endure some of my car pics..........sorry:rules:

Yeah i choose Parcelforce if its a choice. I get atleast one parcel a month, there the only ones i havent had any issues with.

An old Oberheim if my memory serves me well I have had that many from Roland sh101 to Yamaha wf7 my best sounding one was the sequential prophets but never owned a moog for some strange reason

I've never even heard of that lens before, no wonder you couldn't find one! A rather strange focal range... :D
