I returned to Heathrow today after a few days working in Germany, on my way out I took a slight wrong turn and ended up in the bus depot. I decided to make a quick exit back onto the road out of Heathrow, as I did I may have hit the accelerate a little too hard and put my car sideways, foolishly I didn't notice the police car just in front of me, which then pulled me over for a "chat". They now have to issue a stop and search document which lists why they stopped you. This is mine.....

Check out the reason for search and stop codes!

I know this is a serious issue in todays world, buy did I warrant this?

Sorry if this post causes any offence.

If you were them, would you have stopped you?
Realistically the reason is invalid, unless you get arrested!

Did you get any pictures? :)

Don't take it too personally Rob. Terrorism is a coverall clause for this muppet government and the poor old police doing the muppets' work.

They've even used the terrorist caveat to arrest an OAP war veteran because he voiced his disquiet at a member of the Labour party.

hmmmmm, If I was in a position of up holding the nations security and I saw some one possibly looking flustered / annoyed (due to the bus station detour) and driving in a aggressive manner (speed and sideways car positioning) I'd be certain to pull the driver over.

If I'd have found the drivers manner to be obstructive or moody, they'd also be hauled down the station for a full body cavity search too :D

Looking at the first card there doesn't seem to be another option that they could have used, unless Option P "looked a bit suss!" is on the back somewhere? :)

That is true, I just think a catch all terrorist category is a little harsh

I can't believe they got you for something so anti-terrorist like drifting around the airport at stupid mph rather. I'm surprised they didn't bust you for enjoying photography, you know the common terrorist past time.

Hey....I never said i'd be the one doing the search.

There's bound to be a man hater of some description working in the police.........:D

Lol, Funny thing is Pete, they did stop me for exactly that …This Sunday morning whilst taking photos in the city ... it was about 5 in the morning, so a bit odd I guess.

My pink forms slightly different than that one, in the 'reason/power' box is written ‘suspicious behaviour’

Well I"d like to know why it was part of a pre planned police operation..... Have they been following your every move? Seems to be "A" would have made better sense of the second set. As for the first set, they didn't really have much but H to put.

The Pre Planned Operation bit refers to special patrols around Heathrow & similar terrorist "targets" - So the Met patrol that stopped you is specifically there to check out suspicious people using powers under Anti Terrorist legislation - Based on what you did I'd say your actions were suspicious so H & H is correct IMHO ... Paul ;)

Its typical sloppy thinking from our freinds in the govt. Give the police a multiple choice form to complete but with only a fraction of the answers. Is this because the bobbies can't be expecte dto think for themselves PaulBoy, or becuase its then easier to collate the forms on a computer.......?

Believe it or not, I was hauled over driving around Hereford city centre 14years ago for 'takling a suspicious route' so this is nothing new - I'm gonna quit now as my soap box isn't due out til tomorrow ;)

Rob, I've told you before - stop wearing that balaclava in public :nono:

:agree:

If you had a TP Beenie on pulled down over your eyes and a Slingshot on the passenger seat then what did you expect

I wouldn't worry. My theory is that soon people will wear this as a badge of pride, much like an asbo.

I'm screen printing the t-shirts as we speak.

You didn't say you were shooting planes with a canon did you? ;)

ooooh - can we, can we?????? A special TP version naturally!!

You can get polo shirts printed with that on the back and the tpf address on the front for about £17

That is a great idea! I couldn't wear one to my husbands work but I'd be ok elsewhere.

There was another one, but I can't find it,

it said "I'm a photographer, not a pervert!!"

That is a good idea. ....How about.

Beard for my faith. Empty tick box
Helmet for my safety. Empty tick box
Veil for my modesty. Empty Tick box
Camera for my photography. Ticked tick box.

:D

I'm sorry you were stopped and searched, for that here are some ((hugs))... But I have to say; I am  at the fact the search only took 2 minutes! Cause yeah, that would catch a real terrorist right? :suspect:

I got stopped under the anti terrorist Act for driving a white van near Heathrow afew months ago... Made me chuckle though coz I had RSPCA emblazoned all over the van! And the PC had to write a description of me on my form and was really embarrassed to ask what my natural hair colour was (was it that obvious I wasn't a real blonde!!!? )
Anyway, I figured that he was only doing his job and to be honest he's probably not going to catch a terrorist but if he can catch any scally's with no license/insurance etc then its all worth it!!!
