I dropped my tripod, its very broken

The quick relase lever has shattered. I need my tripod, its like an extra limb to me (3 limbs to be precise). Well it could have been worse, at least the SLR wasnt sat on top!

Does anyone know if Velbon do spare parts? Dont want to dish out for another head :thumbsdown:

You could try intro 2000,i got a Velbon off e.bay from them and seem to remember seeing somewhere that they carry or can get a full range of spares .

When a knob broke off my tripod, I used that Milliput epoxy putty to construct a new one. I made it a bit bigger than the original, for strength, but shaped it to better suit me.

It's still on and working about 10 years down the line, so it's a viable option in some circumstances. Might work for your lever, if there's space.
