Considering its the oldest known alcholic drink known to man.. strange I just discovered it..

Had a one glass bottle my wife bought me at local food fair.. mentioned it was nice... one of my sons bought me a three bottle set for my birthday.. just drinking it now...hence the post.. duh! :)

First bottle is a bit of an after spice drink.. second bottle just pure mead.. all a bit sweet but luverly.. served at room tempreture and 14.5% volume.... very nice if i do say so meeeeeeself :)

I always liked mead :) Moniak is good - you can often get mead and 'country wines' at CAMRA beer festivals - it's where I used to buy mead.

Next you need to try mies - it's a honey wine matured in charred barrels, giving it a slightly smoky flavour. They'll have it in your local Eritrean restaurant (if you have one!)

You can buy mead on Amazon of all places.

I thought you weren't allowed to post liquid without a helicopter escort these days

Seems to have affected your typing ability....

Mind you I dont know how to edit a title these days.

When my dad was into wine making, he made some for Christmas, it was rather nice :)
That was years, and I've not thought to try it again, but I'm tempted now, just to see if its as nice as it was then ;)

I purchased a homebrew wine kit online and the grape juice in the kit arrived in a plastic container, so some couriers are prepared to carry liquids

mead is of course honey wine, and like wine several differrent recepies such as metheglin

Most couriers will handle liquids sold by businesses (where they are likely to be properly packaged) - otherwise wine and beer clubs couldn't work.
I think they're reluctant to let Joe Public do it, because Joe Public is a moron who would put a glass bottle in a brown envelope and consider it job done.
