Hypnorm's 52 - Week 15 - wrong

Hi, Selena, what I really like about this one is that your daugher's visible through the leg...

If that's chaos, you don't want to see our living room...:shake:

Cheers.

Hiya Selena,

Oooops, I'm sorry but I seem to have missed a few of your weeks ...

Clutter: I can see where you were coming from with the idea, but I think if you had captured a shot with more wrapping paper and also got it from a different angle (i.e., so as not to get the arm in the way) I think it would have portrayed more of a cluttered feel.

Delicate: A lovely idea and indeed a delicate little hand. Agree with Patrick about the sleeve, but then that is kids for you.

Chaos: Now I really like this one .... something I have never tried before, but have seen a couple of shots lately that have the same effect. I like how it all adds to the 'chaos' of having a family with kids about (you must be a lot more organised than me as my lounge looks like a toy store ).

Well done

Cheers

Dawn :)

Hiya Selena,

Congrats to your friends on their marriage, and what a lovely photo you have taken to commemorate the occasion

Indeed it fits the theme well.

Cheers

Great capture Selena. The splashes on the base and stem are good but I'm not so keen on the ones at the top of the glass, not sure why.

I had taken a number of shots so probably should have cleaned the glass before hand.

Thanks, another 40d Gloucester bod! Must drop in on your 52 to.

Hi, Selena, some nice experimentation for you...

I do like the wine one but would either like to see the wine wholly in the glass and maybe following the curve if the glass or really splash and get wine (?) all over (bit messy though!).

Like the glass as well.

Cheers.

Hiya Selena,

Seems I've missed 2 of your weeks, so a quick catch up for me here:

Knowledge: I like your thought process for this one and the fact you have tried a new technique (not one I am familiar with so will have to do some reading up on same). Quiet an effective shot though, so well done.

Moderation: Again I like the idea for the theme and a nice glass too. My only crit here would be about the background. I'm not sure if it is my monitor, although I have checked the picture on my netbook too but it seems uneven in colour (not totally black) .... was that your intention? Did you do some processing/cloning of the background?

Otherwise I think you have two lovely shots here.

Cheers

Dawn :)

Hi Drodd, yeh it is quite heavily edited at the back, editing isn't my strong point and I only have aperture. I had nothing black for the background either so had to edit out the patio table and the black book I used as the background.

Hiya Selena,

Do you still have the original image that you took? If so could you either post it here or PM me the pic so I can see how you might have been able to edit the background?

Cheers

I'll try and remember tomorrow, head all over the place at the mo, as my dad has just phoned to say my mum is in hospital. Also on my iPad so limited.

Hiya Selena,

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear about your mum, I hope it is nothing serious and she has a speedy recovery.

The photo can wait, you need to be with your mum now.

Take care

Dawn x

Fantastic expression! Bit over exposed on his hair, just down to positioning in the sunlight. But yes your sons entry this week is bang on theme. Now what's your shot going to be Selena?

Sorry I missed the other two shots as this was the start of a new page.

Empty is a great shot really well lit. Would have preferred both eyes to be in focus though. Was this off camera flash you used? If so just a bit more power on the flash or higher iso would allow you greater dof without brightening the background any. Very good shot though.

Object - bang on dof with this one. shame about the bright bit of sky top left but obviously outwith your control. Maybe a bit of pp to clone it out?

Thank,s the empty lighting was purely the evening light coming through the window, so not control over that really.

Hiya Selena

Well done on the latest three posts.... I really like the Empty shot and thing the b&w conversion works well for this.

Had to chuckle at the last shot, looks painful yet so cute.

Cheers

Nice one Selena, great idea for Wrong. For me it conjures up two possible wrongs, Wrong that he has the discomfort of voluntary having the peg on his nose, (well volunteered matey:thumbs:) also, that there is some whiffy reason for the peg. Great shot, I really like his expression

Just seen your Empty for the first time too. Great portrait and spot on theme. He really does look deep in thought:thumbs::clap::)
