Hyperphotography by Jean-Francois Rauzier - This really is something else!

I thought that was probably the case ;)

That Margot image - woooo
I don't normally get a kick out of N&G, but that works for me at both an emotional and technical level.
An astonishing image and I'd love to know the technique behind it.
You can even count the facets on the jewel in her navel piercing

On the traffic image - why are all the motorcyclists looking at the camera?
Did you spot the bridge at the top - LOL!
And on the other side of the bridge there is no traffic, just the author staring at the camera.
And I still don't understand what the left and right edges are made from.

Amazing amazing stuff - creative genius backed by a superb technique.

great post processing more than great photography IMHO so no not a truly great photographer

I guess that truly great photographers just aren't as interesting as threads about people who take their children out onto thin ice, or toggers who have to defend themselves from snowball attacks !?

:D Don't mind me, I'm just going through a 'serious' patch - it'll pass ;)!

Fair point and I don't really know myself how much each small part of the overall image is actually 'photographed' (as a complete image) and how much of it is simply 'compiled' as a collage . Still, every part does seem to be amazingly sharp and well exposed though - good camera craft must have come into it all somewhere .

What I would say though, is that if the definition of photography as "painting with light" is accepted, then he's still quite the Rembrandt :D.

Not trying to contradict you or start an argument here, POAH, just trying to expand on my defintion of a "truly great photographer" ;). YMMV.

Quite amazing stuff, although perhaps it might be hard to desribe it as "photography"....

I'd like to know how he can get kind of quality on website images....

I didn't look at every image by any means but its hard to understand why the nudity that I found could possibly offend. It certainly wouldn't merit a 15 certificate at the cinema.

Perhaps I missed something?

I don't believe anyone said anything about nudity offending. I added the NSFW tag as there are images containing nudity as a warning to people who may be using TP whilst at work.

Great find! The detail of each image is simply amazing.

Technically, Artistically, Blimey!! BLOWN AWAY.

Amazing detail and size, but the style and subject did little for me.

Being able to zoom in to that level and have that clarity is rather special, each image must have taken hours
