Don't know if anyone's heard of this, I certainly haven't seen it mentioned here before.

Been following this guy for ages - seems his full time job is wandering the streets of NY, engaging random strangers, hearing their stories and taking a portrait of each one.

To be honest, this and my business page are about the only reasons I've stayed on Facebook for so long!!

Some amazing people with some great, and often sad stories. Well worth taking a few minutes to scroll right down the page, I'm sure you'll probably become as addicted as I am :)

I've not come across it before and, at first, I was very taken with it. But I did have this nagging doubt at times.

Could you expand on your statement please?

Well there's my bubble well and truly burst.

I'd like to think I could spot a phoney a mile off but this particular guy didn't set the alarm bells ringing.
 
Actually his book is selling very well. I came across it in Waterstones (not FB) He talks to people first and then photographs them. Each person has a story. I do recall this has been discussed on here before, I'm sure search will yield a result. Comment on the photography, but not the person.
