Hi there,
Name is Simon, been reading the forums for a long time but decided to register recently so that I can access the classifieds at some point (expect 24 random posts over the next 60 days
. I live in North-West London, and other hobbies include Motorcycling, Karate, Music and electronics.
I travel a lot for work and play, and my photographs are mostly just for me (I've been asked to do the odd shoot for friends and family, which I did, and the odd wedding, which I emphatically refused!).
Currently use a Canon 50D with a long lens permanently stuck to it - currently the EF 200L f/2.8 II which I love and am sticking with (since I travel a lot, the light weight beats the other options hands down). I also own the EF-S 17-55 f/2.8, which is a wonderful lens, but I find I rarely use it nowadays - mostly because of the hassle of changing lenses. Longer term plans are to keep the 50D with the 200mm permanently stuck to it (possibly with a TC if I need the extra reach), and to buy a second body, likely a 5D mk 2 with probably the 24-105L. I'll sell the 17-55 f/2.8 to part fund this, since its not compatible with FF (although there is definitely a part of me saying that I should keep it and buy a 2nd crop body, it really is a good lens
