Hullo from Wolverhampton

Hi all,

I'm Tom.

I recently purchased my first DSLR. I got a 600D 'cause the price was only a tad higher than a 550D and could see the tilting screen being an added bonus for me.

It's safe to say I got the hook and after five/six weeks, here's my kit:

Canon 600D
Canon 18-55mm kit lens
Canon 50mm prime lens
Canon 55-250mm telezoom lens
- Jessops UV filter
- Jessops Polarised filter
- Canon ET-60 Lens Hood
Velbon tripod
SanDisk Extreme 8GB SD
Hahnel Spare battery
Lens cleaning kit
Lowerpro Slingshot 202 AW

I think my next purchase will be a wide angle lens - but I don't know what yet.

I also may get some better filters - I feel like the Jessops ones are rubbish!!!

Go easy on me, only been doing it for a few weeks... I'm shooting in manual 100% of the time, so none of my shots are probably amazing yet...

I'm into shooting cars and will be having a bash at some autosport and panning over the summer.

I'm here to share pics, get inspired and learn more! Which, we all know, will ultimately result in me spending more...

welcome to the forum Tom.

A decent low cost wide angle lens would be the Sigma 10-20mm, I use one they are fabulous for landscapes etc

Depends how much text you put into a post- less text more chance the sig won't show

NOt a big deal on the grand scale of things
