OK, it's hello from just outside of Middlesbrough really, but people have rarely heard of Norton.

I've always fancied getting into photography, but up to now have made do with a basic P&S.

Haven't bought a DSLR yet, but the time has come to take the plunge, so I'll be getting one in the next couple of months. I thought I'd join up anyway, to peruse (and hopefully absorb) the wealth of information the forum has to offer.

Looking forward to getting stuck into it, and picking up hints and tips from you fine users.

Hi & welcome to the forum, I cant think of a better place to do some absorbing :D

hello from the boro

Hi

My parents live in Saltburn, just up the road.

I've seen a fair few pics of Saltburn and Roseberry Topping/Capt Cooks on here.

I always think the Industrial sites would make good pics, the old ICI sites (not sure who owns Wilton these days) and British Steel.

Hello one and all!

Agree that Norton duck pond is a good place to start getting some shots. Especially nice in the autumn.
Saltburn is pretty good too.

I've got a series of industrial photos that I shot with my P&S, as I wanted to show a Southern friend the area.

So once I get my hands on the camera I know what to do.

Hi  and :welcome: to TP.

Ive been to see Peter Ayton (chiropractor) a few times in Norton, nice place :)

Hi, welcome to the forum, you will enjoy the friendly atmosphere we have here.

Welcome from someone who thought Norton was a make of motorcycle!

Steve.
