Hi, has anyone experienced any problems with the Huey Pro? I used it last night and anything that was white is now a pale shade of blue. Its not just photos, its folders, icons, software and even a Word document now looks blue. Before I calibrated my screen, my screen looked right, but all my photos were printing out very dark. The instructions are a bit vague, so I've probably done something wrong, but I don't know what? Anyone have any ideas?

Did you have a TV on or any ambient lighting shining on your screen when calibrating?

I find it best to do it in complete darkness, you will find it looks strange when you first calibrate and tempted to change back. Give it a while and your eyes adjust.

Either that or your unit is faulty!

Hi thanks for the reply. Every time I've tried it the tv has been off. I done it with the lights on first, thinking that would be my normal use and because it auto adjusts, I didn't see it as a problem. When it was a problem, I tried again using natural daylight, but the same results. I've just tried in the dark as you said and still the same. I might try and colour correct some photos and get them printed to see how they come out and to see just how far out it is before sending it back.

I did send Pantone an email at the weekend to see if there is anything they can suggest, but as yet no reply.

Are you printing them yourself or sending them off?

If your sending them of get the ICC profiles from the company you are using to make sure they are seeing the same thing as you.

I use theprintspace in London and they come out spot on from what’s calibrated on my screen.

Thanks for the reply and I'm sorry for getting back sooner.

No. Before calibration I was getting them printed at my local Tesco, but quite a few was coming out very dark, even though they looked bright and vibrant on my un-calibrated screen. So as a test I get some of the same files done by Snappy Snaps and they came out dark as well. This is when I decided to get a calibrator and this is when things went down hill even more. I have asked my local Tesco if/how often they calibrate and they said first thing every morning. So I'm assuming they are right at there end and its just my end thats wrong.

I think I'm going to contact the seller and mention I have a suspected faulty item. I've now waited for over a week for Pantone customer services to reply and I'm not impressed with that.
