Hoping those that use this service can shed some light...
Periodically, it would not auto launch, i.e. no icon on the menu bar. Or, 'service unavailable', i.e. cloud icon greyed out.
In the first instance, I need to log in and will be asked which mode of synchronisation I would like to adopt. The default is 'classic'. When chosen, it will create a folder called 'Hubic' in the finders sidebar and proceed to download everything that I've backed up. This makes no sense to me as I only want to upload/backup my files that are on my computer to the cloud, not the other way round. As I can never remember how I normally sets it up it usually takes me a little while to get going again. This is very frustrating and I find it to be a royal pain in the behind. I can't see any reason why this happens. For information, I'm running El Capitan on this iMac - i7, 24GB etc.
In the second scenario where it's greyed out & no service, it usually fixes itself after a reboot - this is usually 24 hours later as I'm quite happy to not have up to the minute backup. The internet connection is fully functioning throughout this time and I have no problem doing anything else online with my computer. As I understand it, they have 3 mirrored sites at different locations, so why would I not be able to have continued access?
Does anyone encounter these issues? If so, how do you fix them - assuming there is a fix!
TIA.
