HTC google nexus 1 (android version 2.2)

Just wondered if anyone on here has one of these ,and if you've had/have any problems connecting to a wireless router .

I have the Desire, which is almost exactly the same hardware as the nexus one. Sometimes it has a little bit of a wobbly and you have to turn Wireless off and back on, but 95% of the time it works flawlessly for me.

From what I've read, the Desire is basically the same as the Nexus, only slightly better. The Caveat is that Google have said the Nexus will always be the first Android phone to receive OS updates.

I assume they'll roll out with the nexus1 at the same time, given the similarities between the phones.

Hmm, after some more reading, turns out that Vodaphone (my network) will be testing it some before rolling out the release to it's devices so 2.2's a few weeks in coming yet for your truely

It's going to be interesting getting it up and running though, twill be good to see the increased performance

Yup, got one running 2.2, not had any problems connecting to a wireless network. What problem are you seeing?

When i go to connect to the livebox three things come up in the wifi settings in this sequence .

1..scanning

2... connecting

3.. disconnected

Desire was supposed to be getting it on 23rd July according to rumors, 23rd July came and went with no upgrade. There is no mention on HTC's website of the upgrade happening so I would'nt believe everything these blogs tell you. When I see a statement issued on HTC's website then I'll start believing.

Ok, a couple of things to check:

-Have you got other devices that connect to it properly?

-Is the Livebox set to work as a DHCP Server?

Maybe you could try setting up static IP details and see if you can get it to connect that way to start with?
