HP XW6200

Hi

A friend is selling his HP machine and as I have an old P4 machine that cannot take more than 2gb ram due to motherboard issues I am thinking of buying his machine.

I only use the desktop for LR3 and as have just started shooting in RAW my PC is very slow in opening the photos and editing.

Is it worth getting the machine if he is selling it for about 120 pounds or should I look at other avenues.

The machine has the standard spec and does not include the OS.

I do not want to send more than 150.

I wouldn't recommend it, but it will depend on the exact spec of the one he's selling.

Recently, a few companies had HP DC7700 machines with Core2Duo Processors and 2Gb RAM for around £150 - that's a great spec machine for the cash.

Now, you won't be gaming on that and the hard drive isn't massive, but that's a lot of performance for £150 and from a shop, with a warranty.

Neil it is the 3.2ghz dual process one with the 80gb hard drive.

It's a twin Xeon but its the older p4 based xeons, personally I'd save some more money and go down the i5-2500 route
