Hello All

I'm a newbie so I'm not sure if this post is in the right place but I just wanted ask some advise on the above printer.

I need a stand alone printer to do high quality prints, quickly and in quite large volume.

I just wondered if anyone had used on of the above and if you believe that it would be suitable for my needs.

Any advice you got give regarding other poss printers would be gratefully received.

Would prefer not to spend the earth!

Many thanks

The HP PS 2575 is a good home printer that does a very nice photo print however, it isn't particularly quick at it and if you are planning on selling them the prints aren't particularly long lasting.

For high quality and long lasting your best bet is a print lab (will be about the same as the per print cost of printing at home). You can either use PhotoBox or a Pro lab such as loxley colour. Loxley have a good remote order entry system (ROES) which enables you to send an order over the internet. They normally ship next day by first class so is relatively quick (RM allowing)

If you need quality, quick and on site, then you are best going for a Dye Sub printer. If it's for a one off event you can hire good from people like System Insight who only charge you for the hire of the machine and the number of prints you actually produce as you return unused stock.

Hi Simon,

Many thanks for your advice. To explain a little further I'm hoping to set up my own company, mainly as a side line just extending my hobby really but I have a limited knowledge of printers.
The work I'm hoping to get into would mainly be conducted from home, but there would be occasions were I would need to produce the prints on location and yes they would be for sale so a long last quality print would be required.

If you have any suggests or idea of makes/models I should look into that would be gratefully recieved.

Thanks

Rita
