Not quite sure how much of a bargain this is but just got a HP Deskjet F2400 all in 1 series (Scanner, Photocopier and Printer) for £35.00 from my local Wilkinson store.

The only thing it doesn't come with is the USB cable.

Have you tried it out yet? Would be interested to know what you think of the prints, this would be ideal for my sister if the prints are acceptable.

Have only printed a few pics onto ordinary copier paper but need to get some photo paper to really try it.

Printing a Word document in B/W gives excellent results and colour on my pics seems OK as far as I can tell but will need to sort out some proper photo paper to be sure.

Didn't think the ink cartridges would be full at the price but the software shows then to be full and there's no indication on the cartridge packets that they are trial cartridges.

If they are full size ones then it's even more of a bargain as Wilkinson sell the cartridges at about £12.00 for the B/W and £15.00 for the colour ones.

UPDATE: I tried to get some Kodak Photo paper but where I live no shops stock computer supplies.

I tried some really cheapo paper from Poundland and it wasn't bad but I actually preferred the results on the normal copier paper.

After a few minor adjustments I printed out some 10x8s (mostly my niece's kids) on normal copier and found them very acceptable.

Estimate I will get about 15-20 10x8 prints on a single colour cartridge so quite reasonable.

So all in all seems quite a bargain - especially since (as far as I can judge) you get 2 full cartridges with it not just trial ones.

I noticed Argos are doing a similar deal on the F2420, £34.99. As my next set of Canon inks are going to cost similar, I'm going to pick up an F2420 tomorrow instead. My old scanner drivers support ended at XP so about time I got something usable and supported in Windows 7 without the need for Win7 XP Mode.

I bought a HP C6280 all in one from Apple when I bought my MBP as they gave me a voucher. I expected it to be a bit pants but I was really quite impressed as a GP printer.
