How's this for a bargain!

I'd be concerned that the images don't work! (is that just me though?)
On the whole his feedback's good... but there's still a day to go - we'll see what happens!

I'd say someone has bid it up to stop a scammer getting a new victim :)

Mad as a chocolate coated sock!

... let me enter a bid for £3k there's gotta be a reason

:D

A Canon 5D for £2685.... sounds like a bargain to me.:gag:

I think StuvUk might be able to beat that price though, in fact you could damn near buy 2 for that price.

Sweepstake on how high it goes?

Very strange... the link from the images seems to lead to some weird Russian site.

I see no images just blank squares

pochta.ru/

smells like a bum deal

I dont think I'll be bidding :D

Shall we have a whip round and see if we can get the readies .... it must be worth it. We can all share can't we?

If you look at his feedback it seems that he's tried to sell it twice before.

Looks a bit suspect to me.... I'd definitely stay away :nono:

What the heck is going on with this bid I just looked and its up to £3433.

A 5D with no lens...Am I missing something or are the people nutters?

It's probably a highjacked account, look at the last two feedbacks.

Yeah I noticed someof the bidders have no history but there are a couple with positve history bidding in the £2700 area.

What's does the term hijacked mean?

It's when fraudsters somehow get the details of an ebay account and offer non-existant goods for sale. They then take the money and run leaving the genuine seller to face the music.

Fair enough could see how that could happen but why are people bidding twice the price of new?

They'll probably bump the price then when the auctions over contact each bidder and offer them the item at there last bid price with the excuse that the winning bid fell through, etc - and scam as many people as respond.

5 1/2 years gap in trading on ebay... yeah right. Perfect hijack material, mariodp62 obviously part of the scam.

I thought there was a button to report suspicious items but I can't seem to find it.

eBay don't make it easy to find, you have to click on the link Safety Centre at the bottom of the page, then click in the radio button for "Report another problem" and click on Report A Problem, then click in the radio button for "Account Security" and click Continue, then highlight Unauthorised Account Activity, then highlight "Report another members account as stolen" and click continue, then click on the link "Email Us", then fill in the User ID and why you think it's been hijacked.

Which is mainly why I stopped bothering to report this kind of stuff (after a week or so of continually reporting accounts offering the same laptops for sale), it's just too much hassle.

YOu would think if they actually cared they would make it easier.. Hrmph.

Yep - I can do you one for £1350 plus P&P :)

Stop posting these! You have no idea how tempting that is! Swiftly folllowed by divorce papers ;)
