Hi all,
I've been lurking for a little while now, and thought it was time I say hello.
My name's Dan, I'm 24 from Melbourne, Australia, but have been living in London the past 3 years+ now. I've always loved taking photo's, but only took the plunge into DSLR's last year when I got a Sony A300. Before that I mainly shot with a Canon A570 P&S and played around with a few film "lomo" cameras - Horizon 202 panormaic, Lomo LC-A & Diana F.
A year on, I made the decision to move to Canon, and a few weeks ago I traded in the A300 for a Canon 50D + 17-55 f/2.8 + 50mm f/1.8. So far I'm loving this new set-up, but still have a lot to learn!!
My main interests are in street/travel photography, but in the near future I'd like to get into portrait/glamour/strobist work!
It looks like there is a lot to learn from everyone on this forum, so I'm looking forward to exploring it and hopefully post some pics to get some critique too!
