Hello
I'm strictly an amatuer photographer with an amatuer camera (Panasonic DMC - FZ18) & an amatuer eye but love taking photos and striving to improve.
For several years I've enjoyed others' photos, studied photographic techniques, read dozens of books, taught myself Photoshop, visited numerous exhibitions, been stunned by the quality/beauty of hundreds of photos on Flickr and elsewhere, taken thousands of photos myself, and yet so far there's only a tiny fraction of them that satisfy me.
Those that do are simply the result of chance - equip a thousand monkeys with cameras and the law of averages dictates that a couple of half decent shots will result.
I live on the borders of Cambridgeshire/Bedfordshire, a most un-picturesque place. Out of desperation I've recently taken to shooting macros, panoramas etc.
One day, when I can afford it, I intend getting me a decent DSLR and a couple of lenses - one day...
Looking forward to having some some fruitful discussions with you all, learning more myself and helping out when I can.
