I am doing City and Guilds Level 2 and as part of the course we have to display our 12 photographs. One of the teacher's from the college says that we have to display our work as if we were going for a professional job interview. She believes that the best way for us to display our work is to use a PHOTO ALBUM, as in an self-adhesive one from Wilkinsons, Tescos etc. I had bought a nice leather folio with nice plastic slip-in folders but she said it wasn't professional enough. Am I missing something here?? :shrug: Sarah

Depending on what size your prints are, it might be worth a trip to an Art shop and have a look at the portfolios available, they range from A3 to A0. All my 6th form art students use them for their work, and it is standard practise to take them for Uni/job interviews.
Here's a link to get an idea;

Hope that helps.:thumbs:

i would look at portfolios and then how you put them in wallets are a good place to start, i wouldn't use a photo album to be honest for the simple reason that it will be inflexible in the future. your portfolio is something that evolves over time things get taken out and put it. also take your time mounting stuff that's the most important thing to making work look professional and i think sets work apart.

im currently in the final year of a design degree and as part of this we have had to look at some students work while helping interview them so that the best advice i could give really.

Folio or folder with decent quality sleeves. No one in their right mind would use a self adhesive album, or even worse albums with self sticking plastic covers.

If you really want to push the boat out get a photo book done, but those are really only for one offs as they are completely inflexible.
