I am looking for WIDE options say 10mm upwards to maybe 14mm at the most... but NOT fisheye . What are my options on a canon 1dx .. Don't mind 3rd party :)

Budget.. this is going on a remote camera at sports events so could get battered.. cheaper the better then haha :)

Laowa 12mm F2.8 - manual, but i love it. built like a tank. Not sure if it fits your needs though as the element will be exposed.,,,

I think I was referring to the old variable aperture.
I think the Tamron is a crop lens?

Could be wrong.

yep on furthur investigation the tamron for ef-s

sigma 12-24 i founf one at a good price then found theres a mK2 so not sure if the original is any good. was only 150 as well :)

right now the Irix 11mm F4 is standing out :)

When I had Canon DSLR's I had the Sigma 12-24mm and I loved it. One thing in its favour is that it seems to be a very well corrected lens.

I also had the very cheap Canon 20-35mm USM which was cheap and light but had massive distortion. Not 12mm though :D

The Sigma 12-24 is very well corrected for rectilinear distortion. Fairly extreme perspective though! (I love it!!!)

I assume you are referring to the non Art version?

I am, yes.
