How was this photo edited or taken... love the effect either way!

Possibly a soft focus filter (or vaseline applied by hand on a plain filter),High contrast lighting setup and hard to say for sure but looks like more than one exposure at different focal lengths by taking one shot zooming out/in slightly and taking the next exposure. Finished by post processing with maybe a desaturation brush applied to certain parts of the image.
I could be so wrong here :coat: but if I wanted to emulate it, that would be my starting point to see what I got.

Thanks Gary - going to try and have a play this weekend - thers some good tips in there for me to get stared - any other suggestions from people would be appriciated - thank you

J

I think looking at it that's it's a topaz filter ;-) in Photoshop

Just a guess

There's 2 images, like you'd get from shooting through double glazing, but furthest apart, so maybe a sliding window or secondary double glazing? Then steam up the glass and selectively clear. Then add groovy pp filter.

Jason, when a moderator edits your post to change an image to a link, it's not good form to just change it back again.
Sorry Fabs staff member - i didnt realise that you had changed it, i thought i copied the wrong link - so i reposted.... :/

Assuming you don't have the copyright then you don't have the right to use the image here (or anywhere else) but you link to the photo which the copyright holder has posted themselves elsewhere and nobody gets upset. :)

Good stuff, you'd be really surprised what a good response you get back.

Cheers, From what I can find, it may have been a photographer called Harri Peccinotti, London born (1935).... other than that... I dont think he is on Twitter or facebook ha ha I've also tried to contact indevidual members of the band and since the band split last year - no one is really too bothered! I think Liam Gallagher is just too busy enjoying nothingness ha!

Ah shame.

It's funny what you get back though. I've quite often had a thank you or further contact when I've written about someones work I've seen in an exhibition.

Wasnt there a trend for shooting through plastic bags crumpled over the lens?

yeah - thats the beauty of the internet these days... having been a producer in the music world I was suprised how easy it was to connect with other art its for collaborations. You'd have thought Photography would have been easier!…. Well maybe it is with the exception of a few

I like the idea of a crumpled bay… I didn't se the thread but is sounds like it would be worth a read
