How was this edited

I can only dream of producing photography like that!!!

Stunning IMO...

That's not editing, that's good photography and good lighting.

You want to produce work like that? You need to understand lighting and exposure to a very high level, and stop assuming everything is done in the edit.

They ARE processed, but if you think that's what makes them great, you're mistaken.

I suspect some of them are composite images, but there's nothing wrong with that if done well. One or tweo seem to have had flare effects added post shoot... but most look pretty straight examples of great lighting to me.

As for processing.. most are just warm in tone, with good contrast.. some RGB levels and curve adjustments to shift colour around.... nothing special going on. What makes them sing is the lighting and exposure.

Bit of warmth, contrast, desatursaturation in certain colours. It's worth paying attention to the colour palettes she's shooting, mainly greens, browns, yellows and whites - as colours they all sit quite well together and as a set of photographs, really stand out.

Exactly... she's not doing anything almost everyone on here hasn't already done themselves at some stage.

You do know the exif is pretty intact on most of those pictures, 5d mk2 canon 50m 1.2 pretty heavy on contrast and brightness, is a good start.

If I were a student with basic skills in photoshop, and asked as a challenge what tools had been used (sort of true) then there are some images where I think it is easier to spot what has been done...

The shot called 'painting spring' stands out for me. Looks like gaussian blur has been used to great/harsh effect, as well as hue and contrast in other selected areas of the shot, and sharpening in others. It almost looks like two images could have been overlaid as well as there is a faint suggestion that the light source could be different on both...? But I think that's likely to be due to the crop showing more of the reflection and light at the bottom of the shot than the top, making it hard to pinpoint...

There's no doubting, the shots are stunning whatever happened in PS...

A teacher will be along shortly to give me 1/10.

There's quite a few changes in some of the exif data. But still good photos

Thanks for the replies, of course I know that it starts off with good lighting but it's obvious that a fair bit has been done to them! Awesome images either way

I can't add any thing else to the mix other than_I'm sorry I looked there waaaayyyyyyy to good.

I now feel a bit nauseous ;)

Seriously amazing photos.

Gaz

My take is 'do I like what I see' & yes I really do like them.

But I don't tend to overly analyse but just say to myself would I want that hanging on my wall, or would I want my family photographed in that way, or simply do I enjoy looking at them. The answer to all my questions is a resounding YES.

I look at them and feel a sense of inferiority and lowered self esteem in one hit:eek:

Must be a Manchester thing :-)

I must look at the map to check if where I live (Totnes, South Devon) is anywhere near to Manchester

I think she used the tools 'talent' and 'skill'. Sadly mine need upgrading. :(
