Beer Garen after work for a cold one.
About time we got some heat in Yorkshire.

36 degrees at work today. Should be bloody illegal to have be in that heat. Bring on winter.

Not liking it at all, never have and never will.

Everything is an effort and can't sleep at night, just not used to it in these islands

Agree 100% and I was born in Australia too. This heat plays hell with my chest so I have a fan on me all times.

When I was living in Australia I loved it then, but the UK heat waves are different, so I don`t like them.

i know what you mean, we have it all or nothig sometimes.
i am a big outdoors person, walking and cycling so for me it is a winner.
also rding my motorbuke is fantastic in this weather.

I like the outdoors and walking too, but no fun in this heat plus we never take on enough fluid and end up feeling crap

I've been hating winters more and more over the last few years and vowed not to complain when we do get a little heat. I'm sure it wont last long enough.

Too warm. Too humid.

I thought there was a "maximum" temperature, but google says not.
Spare a thought for me though, some of the places I have to work in, mulching plants, are usually 20oC above ambient, ( and just shy of 100% humidity) now that is warm!
( pleasant in the winter though :D )

Even if there was, it wouldn't help me. I was outside lol. The temperature in my lorry was showing 36 degrees at 11.30am. It was parked facing away from the sun and in the shade. I wasn't out in the lorry though, I was fixing one of the other ones in full view of the sun in the yard until 2pm. I have to admit by then I was feeling pretty feint. Not having any drink didn't help either.

Same here, but it was a frosty 32 in Norfolk :D

I'm sure it didn't ! I freeze a large bottle of water overnight while its like this, and "hide" it somewhere cool(ish) in the van.
That usually lasts me most of the day

Big old Nope from me. Lack of sleep is kicking in was 32c upstairs in the house last night.

Air con packed up in the office today, got to 29c and 40% humidity.

On the bright side got the car ac regassed today.

I love any weather strangely enough... When I worked in Timor Leste, the heat and humidity all day killed the other Europeans whereas I enjoyed it. The cold and wet of the mountains made a nice change though.

The only place I found uncomfortable was El Salvador - for about an hour around sunset the humidity rose dramatically and left me unable to do anything until a thunderstorm broke.

Getting wet here in UK doesn't please me much if I can't easily get dried off though.

Went to the cinema yesterday mainly for the air con (Wonder Woman rocks though) and then went to air con Pizza place.

Lingered longer in Waitrose today and will again tomorrow, add to that a visit to the air con Library next door

Try driving a bus in this weather. End up sweating like pig and getting fed up.

Hot day stuck driving a van and finished in heaven on the beach, perfect end to the day :D

I'm in NW Scotland now and after a few hours of rain this morning it has been the perfect day for me - a gentle breeze and around 20C.

I've heard from Mrs Tringa, in London, that people are melting.

Dave

I'm ok until about 26c. When it's above that the hotter it gets the less I can stand it. Once it's about 29c it drives me crazy. I have to get away from it. The evaporative cooler I thought would work is useless. Its still 29c upstairs so it's intolerable for me.

It's not so bad when there's a good breeze. If it's hot and still I find it impossible.

I'm wondering how to add a couple of extractor fans upstairs so I can pull the heat out during the evening as a solution.

I hate being cold as well so there's a narrow band of temperatures that I'm ok with!

Love it hot and sunny, it was even hotter and like a sauna in the gym at lunch time, no air con, no breeze, but still had a great workout.

And I had to sit in a tin can for 3 hours inhaling other people's farts to get some sunshine. :(

I suppose I can console myself that there's no work to do and cold beer whenever I 'need' one ;)

Shetland looks to have the perfect temperature range for me, can always get warm, but can't keep cool

I decided to get into the office early today, and it is already baking - no fan, no aircon, and best of all no blinds on the window, and by two in the afternoon, the sun will be blinding me.
I love warm weather, but only when I can choose where to sit and what to wear.

Sticky here. Cooler than we're recently used to but more uncomfortable.

Currently 29 degrees in my front room.
When will this madness end.

Office has no aircon. First office without for 30 years.
New premises on July 3rd...spanking new aircon.
Probably be snowing by then :D

I remember that summer well.i was 13 then.
My favourite memory was buying a bottle of ice cold in bru from the ice cream van.
Funny the things we remember sometimes.:beer:

We were living in Whitstable Kent in 76 and had a lovely neighbour, the horror actor Peter Cushing

Just had a look at the Max/Min readings in the conservatory and outside while we were away - 60.5°C was the indoors max and 1.5°C the outdoors min. A little less extreme today!
