How to store and transport studio stands etc

Hi all

Anyone got any bright ideas? At the moment I store my stands and some folding modifiers in a floppy Cricket Bag I can barely lift. The way it languishes on the floor makes me worry I'm going to damage some of the contents.

Ideally I'd like the kit upright in a trolley suitcase or something.

The longest stand is 104cm, but most are 86cm or less. I'd happily settle for something that took all but the longest stand.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the post - got any links? The ones I saw weren't very big - two stands at most.
 
I got this Lencarta bag because if its length - up to 117cm, to take a Manfrotto boom and background system http://www.lencarta.com/lighting-store/bags-a-cases/bags-cases-1/universal-stand-holdall Cheap as you like at £15. Illustration doesn't show it very clearly (they must have a rubbish photographer do their product stuff :D).

It will take at least three big stands, more if they're smaller, and I like the roll-up design so you can just drop brollies and stuff in the middle and roll it all together.
 
Calumet do a range of good bags at pretty reasonable prices :)

Plus one :) I hold four large stands, a couple of brollys a monopod etc in mine (three stands in the slots, and the rest in the middle) light enough.
 
Get a hard cricket coffin instead - you can pick these up for under £50 ....
 
I use hockey stick bags - a £8 from Sports Direct. I get two stands in mine plus an umbrella and a 28" Westcott Apollo. The front pocket holds batteries, receivers and extras quite nicely. Put foam in the base or some form of cap over the end of the spigot to stop it punching through the base.

Many thanks for all the suggestions.

A local shop has loaned me a rolling duffle bag to try. I suspect it won't fit everything, but might be part of the solution.

I like the lencarta suggestion and will also investigate the cricket coffins!
 
Bag no use - cricket coffins next.....
