The conversation had moved on to large and medium format cameras, which are not cheap even before getting lenses. I think what Tom is getting at is that it may be possible to do what you want with a standard dslr and lens. I don`t believe he was was mocking what kit you have at your disposal.

Maybe if posts are not ignored in the first place, folk will not get so uptight.

And my last bit of advice for the OP, in future, please explain as much as you can with diagrams, photos etc and any other thing you may think will help, in your posts so as to eliminate as much confusion as possible.
