Just a quick question, as the heading says how do I take a screen capture? I've tried using the fuction key with PrtSc but nothing seems to happen. I'm using a Samsung lap top by the way.

just print screen and then paste into paint or PS or some other software

theres a button with PRTSC SYSRQ on your keyboard press that open up your graphics prog make a new blank file and CTRL V

Well I use that same function key to copy. I use ctl v to paste. Not sure why it's not workin for you.

There's a little pice of software that I use called 'Screen Shoot-It' and it allows you to capture full screen or user selected areas and save the image to wherever you want - much better and more convenient than other things I've tried ... PM your email and I'll send you a copy ... I had it with all rights.

And on windows 7 there the built in 'snipping tool' program that does what Gramps suggestion will do.

I use Gadwin Print Screen. Free, allows you to define what key you use, what you want to capture (desktop, area, window) where you want to send it (clipboard, email, file, printer or any combination) and allows you to select what format, resize, greyscale and watermark the image too.
