Anyone know ... update has issues :(

Adobe say it cannot be rolled back and you have to roll back Photoshop to the previous version and then install ACR 9.4 ... you can't overwrite ACR 9.5 with 9.4 in the current version of Photoshop, apparently :(

That's a bit of pain is it not.

Is is but at least I've got it working again now, albeit with a previous version of PS!
The change has completely thrown Lightroom though, 'cannot find catalogue' so won't start ... good job I hardly ever use it.

Is there a general problem with installing ACR 9.5? My system has not been updates yet and I thought I'd aske before going ahead.

My issue was very specifically with the process 'Merge to HDR Pro' ... after updating to ACR 9.5 this process broke, reporting a 'Programme Error' and failing to complete. I spoke with Adobe and even had them going through various adjustments on my laptop but all to no avail ... the only way to resolve the issue was to roll back Photoshop from 2015.1.2 to 2015.0.0 and ACR from 9.5 to 9.4 as it is not possible to roll back from 9.5 to 9.4 in 2015.1.2.

I have no idea in ACR 9.5 affects any other part of Photoshop or Lightroom as my issue was specific, however the process of rolling Photoshop back has led to me losing Lightroom as it just says it can't find the catalogue.

For what it's worth and if you are on Windows, I would be cautious with the update to ACR 9.5

problems with permissions with new update, can't fix it,the folders in question have permissions and it still won't work, loads of peeps complaining

That's what I was told ... Adobe Rep changed all permissions but it just wouldn't work.
