I have some pipistrelle bats in the garden and wondered if there was a good way to photograph them? I've only recently gotten into 'proper' photography, so i presume this isn't going to be easy, but I fancied giving it a go!

Any suggestions welcome.

EDIT: thinking about it, I've posted this in the wrong section - will try and get it moved to the correct one! Sorry!

Both Bat Conservation and Natural England strongly advise against photographing bats in case you disturb them.

Isn't it a good idea to hang upside down to photograph them?

I think you are supposed to have a license as they are protected. bit of a challenge too.. Very hard to track something that moves that fast...

Well that is good to know! Glad it was only an idea! :P

I remember reading a fascinating article about how some guy managed to get some excellent shots of bats drinking from his garden pond

I think i watched a tv program about this thinking it was crazy at the time!

There are 3 pakistani cricket players not using theirs for a while, ask if you can borrow them.;):exit:
