Afternoon,

I am hoping someone will be able to help me out a bit here.
Before anyone comments "google is your friend" or similar, I have searched for hours, days and followed tons of advice on google and various websites about how to perform SEO and creating a blog etc... all of which I have now done - but my website traffic still remains very low (average 4 hits per day) and I am not even on the first page of google if you specifically search for my web domain!

I just wondered if anyone could tell me what I might be doing wrong?

I have:
  1. Added SEO keywords to each individual page of my website
  2. Added a page title
  3. Created a Blog, which I am updating as often as possible
  4. Adding keywords to the blog, such as the location I am working in, photography and words such as weddings, christenings etc
  5. Pinged my site

My website is www.nickenglishphotography.weebly.com

I plan on getting rid of the .weebly bit once my site gains a bit more momentum (it costs £80 to remove the Weebly bit).
Obviously SEO and Google optimising is a mine field, but I just wondered if anyone could give me any pointers which I might not know about?

Thank you in advance
Nick

If you are really worried about your site traffic and SEO now and in the future my advice is dump weebly now

Get your own domain name and hosting as this will be much better for you and your business in the long run, it will cost you a lot less than the £80 weebly are asking that's for sure

Just use the site as an on-line catalogue you can refer people to, it WONT get you any business,it will only enhance the business you go out and get.
Websites make you lazy until you run out of time and give up.

Go see people, get on the phone, go to open days, get some good stationary and shoot your own brochure, don't wait for cold business to come to you, especially over the net.

Similar to what Steve just said. You need to create ways into the website. I can remember signing up to hundreds of sites which just place a link of your site on theirs. But you cant have too many as it will ring alarm bells.

The age of the site also helps.
