How to increase structure?

I have used Nik silver effex pro for a while now and I really like the effect of using the adjustment of the "structure" which can increase or decrease detail in the image you are working on.

I wondered if a similar kind of adjustment could be done for colour images too in some way? I am using CS5

I don't have the Nik s/w but it sounds like it is doing something similar to the clarity function in ACR/LR i.e. enhancing local contrast.

May be wrong though so have some salt handy!

You can get fairly close with unsharp mask, try a high radius with a low amount, or use the clarity in ACR (as said above)

The Tonal Contrast filter in Nik Color Efex Pro does the same thing.

Use viveza, it's the tool I use for structure.
