How To Improve This?

I might be wrong, but has the girl been pasted into that image.

She seems to stand out. I think there's a slight light halo around parts of her. If that is the case i'd use the burn tool, set to effect highlights then run that round the edge of her at a low(ish) opacity.
I also think she could do with a little shadow at her feet just to make it look like she's standing on the ground. Not too much though as it looks like it was taken in quite soft light.

I'm glad I made my edit at 22:19 otherwise it would have looked like I was copying you Garry - haha.

Thanks so far. All points taken on board.

I've blended images before and done some brushing out/cloning etc but in general it's been images that have been taken, at max, a few seconds apart with different exposures.

This is something different. I've wondered how to get people into shots that weren't there in the first place. If you get it right I guess nobody would know, but when you don't quite get it right it is going to make the viewer see that something isn't quite right.
