Hi Guys,

I'm interested to find out how this photographer edited their picture to this effect, could someone shed some light on it for me please, could it be cross processing?

Appreciate your help on this

Ross

Probably more to it, but looks like a white to nothing gradient to me.

cheers SimonC, how exactly do you do a white to nothing gradient??

I only know photoshop, but it's bound to be similar for others. Go to the gradient tool on the left side, you may have to click and hold to show the gradient tool if all you see is the paint bucket tool, pick a foreground colour at the bottom, or in this case as it's white just switch the black and white around with the arrows. Then at the top under 'image' click the little down arrow and choose the second option 'foreground to transparent'
Then just click drag and release starting from the corner.

Shot into the light with a lens that doesn't like being shot into the light much and overexposed a bit.

I agree with Alan, shot into the light imo. Looks like they have also done some post. I'd guess at using curves in PS, setting the black point and pulling the white point in to make it more yellow or pulling the blue down to make it more yellow. Greens have also been pushed up a bit and pulled RGB up to lighten.

Exposed for the shaded areas of the image to start with. Yellow in the highlights, acidic green/yellow in the low highs/mids, and blue in the shadows. How you achieve that is up to you, colour balance would be the easiest to get your head around (just add and subtract certain colours from shadows, mids, or highlights)
