How to get Elements to pull in latest ACR version?

Gents - I have PSE 14 and need to update to ACR 9.5.1 to open the raw files from my new Sony RX10 iii.

I have downloaded ACR 9.5.1 - but it's not plugging in to PSE14, any suggestions please as this is doing my head in!

I don't think you can update the ACR in PSE, I have PSE11 and am stuck with 7.4 so can't open my RX100 files.

I use Adobe DNG converter, convert files and then can open them in PSE. Its long winded but only way around it :-(
