I have two Interfit EX 150 which I fire using an IR sender mounted on my hotshoe (Canon 5d MkII). The Speedlite 550EX has neither a sync port nor IR sensor. I appreciate that if I put the speedlite onto the hot shoe and fire it the EX150 sensors will fire the flashes. How can I fire the Speedlite remotely and have all thre flashes fire?

Regards

Best way is with a radio trigger, such as the Yongnuo RF-602 - £27 from Flash In The Pan on here - find him in the advertiser's section. Put the receiver on the 550EX, and that will then fire the studio heads.

You could also do it with an optical slave on the 550EX - about a tenner from Jessops. However, I have an idea that the 550EX suffers from a problem with these, which is common to some Canon flashes which means the slave will only fire once, and then locks up and won't fire again unless the flash is switched off and on again. Take it into Jessops and try it.
