How to do weather photography

Done a quick search and cant find any threads on this.
Do any of you do/done weather photography?
This is someting id like to have a go at due to me starting a OU cource on weather in september. Id like to get some good pics that may be useful.

Any tips or advice?

Prob can't be much help casfan,
For what it count's I have shot a few sun sets with differnet cloud formations (if you count that as weather :shrug: ).

Bit of kit that helped the most was a Circular Polariser (other than a lens and camera :lol: )
 
Hi Casfan, what kind of weather did you have in mind?

There is rather a lot of it about in the Uk at different times of year!
 
Mainly clouds and cloud formations. think this will be quite hard with blow outs and that.
Dont know what other weather you could photograph. we dont seam to have much thunder storms * touch wood* now but i dont think i have a proper bulb setting to do that anyways.
