How to crop this image?

I've been playing around with this image for almost an hour now... i am happy with everything (i think) apart from how to crop it? does it need cropping?

I prefer crop #1 personally. Helps to make the subject bigger in the frame.

Number 1 personally, more detail on the bark, no manky leaves as in #2, and a bigger subject

Yup, #1, cuts out some clutter but maintains the depth of it's home/burrow.

That's a really good way of looking at it, something i'll bare in mind in future crops!

I think any crop that enlarges the image reveals a general lack of sharpness.
The focus point seems to be on the green leaves in the lower part of the frame.
