how to create a collage

hi all,

have seen a few of these collage type images, mainly on event websites. i was just wondering how they are made, have had a search of the site with limited luck. am using cs3 any ideas or links would be appreciated

For simple collages try Picasa3.
You can select what pictures you want, resize them, rotate them, change which ones are on top and:

Mostly made by adding pics onto each other as layers, re-sizing and then masking with layer masks, but a lot depends on what your after. Wayne
 
thanks for the replies, i was just really interested in having a play around with the idea. so thought id put together a working dog montage.
